Event Details
Welcome to a very special evening which we hope will give everyone a glimpse into days gone by. Enjoy a champagne cocktail reception and presentation by renowned local historian Dr Mitch Kent. He will explain the events of the Fall of 1867, the drama of the yellow fever epidemic, the unnamed hurricane, the tsunami and the earthquake which all befell the islands within a few short weeks. He will also share the stories of heroism on the night of the demise of the RMS Rhone, resulting in the bequest of Salt Island to the inhabitants by Queen Victoria.
It is in celebration of the bravery shown that night and in spirit of BVI endurance, we are delighted to present the second part of the night, a sumptuous multi-course dinner lovingly prepared by Chef ? with carefully curated wine pairings, to be followed by dancing – including Waltz lessons from students and staff from Firebird Performing Arts! Let’s get your fancy on, for a night to remember!
Prizes for best dressed Male and Female.
Auction for The BVI National Park’s Trust.
