BVI SCUBA DIVING

JVD Scuba and Eco-Tours

JVD Scuba and Eco-Tours

The World renowned Dive Mecca of the British Virgin Islands is pleased to acknowledge that the Northwest out-island territory has finally been opened up for underwater exploration through Jost Van Dyke Scuba. The island of Jost Van Dyke, population 180, has long been known for its picturesque beachfront Caribbean villages and laid back, friendly locals.

Step back in time and experience the Caribbean the way it used to be. A barefoot place where crime does not exist, no one asks you for money, and nature flourishes unrestrained, both above and below the water. Discover the Caribbean’s newest dive destination and the island you have long been looking for!

Where do you dive on Jost Van Dyke?

We have discovered more than 40 unmarked dive sites that expand from the remote islands of Pelican Cay, Great and Little Tobago, Hans Lollick, Green Island, Watson, King and Mercurious Rocks, to the North shores of Jost as well as various offshore seamounts, pinnacles, caves, walls, reefs and wrecks. We also dive bait-balls and offer bluewater big-animal excursions.

What does that mean to you?

These sites have NEVER been commercially dived and are far away from boat traffic; therefore, they are teeming with all varieties of fish and marine life on healthy, living coral reefs and geologic formations! We have thoroughly explored the reefs and walls of these out-islands, discovering new dive sites and uncovering some of the most unusual underwater spectacles accessible to divers in the BVI. We will show you sites with abundant “big” fish life.

Why is there so much marine life around Jost Van Dyke?

At just 11 miles away, Jost Van Dyke is the closest island to the Corner of the World Famous North Drop. The Trench is well known to be the premier sport fishing waters for the prized Atlantic Blue Marlin as well as many other pelagic species. The fact that it contains the second deepest ocean depth in the World at 33,000 feet, means that there are plenty of bait fish and thriving marine life of all kinds, close by, all year long on our exclusive dive sites!!! Schooling bait balls of silverside minnows can be found on the coast of JVD year-round.

Why dive with Jost Van Dyke Scuba and BVI Eco-tours?

This is our backyard and we know every inch of it. We have pioneered and charted this territory underwater. Jost Van Dyke Scuba is the only operator servicing this entire area and these unknown dive sites. No overcrowding· we lead small groups on personalized scuba excursions. Our PADI Instructors give thorough pre-dive briefings, set up all of your equipment for you, change tanks between dives, help you feel comfortable with your equipment and questions, and dive at your experience level. They are there to insure your dive is safe and navigate you back to the boat, so you can just enjoy the scenery.

We specialize in catering to dive groups by offering discounted rates/commissions, private boats, water-taxis and airport pick-up, accommodations, and World-class yet virtually unknown dive sites!!!! Please feel free to ask us any questions that may help make planning your dive group or dive clubâs holiday easier· our pleasure!

We take your dive vacation seriously· and look forward to showing you the best sites in the BVI.
